T79 Does God Change

TOM503 - Mal. 3:6 & Heb. 13:7-8

This is the covenant the Lord made with the blood of Jesus: "I will put my laws in the mind and write them on the heart; and I will be God. No one will teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, "Know the Lord, ' for all will see me, from the least to the greatest." (Heb 8:10-11).

God promised, no matter how insignificant or great, all will see Him. Even in today's ever changing world one finds that God never changes. (Mal. 3:6; Heb 13:8). Yet, the same one who never changes seldom does the same thing twice in the same way.

This seeming contradiction is easily explained when one realizes God never changes in character. He is forever one, spirit, holy, wise, strong and great. Moreover, he is love, faithful, true, light, and a consuing fire. These characteristics of God never change. (Joh. 4:24; Rom 11:23; 14:4; 1 Co. 1:9, 25, 10:13, 14:33; 2Co. 1:18, 9:8; Gal. 3:21: Heb. 1:6, 12:29; 1Jo. 1:5; 3:20; 4:8).

Blessings, Pamla
